The Palliser Novels make up Trollope's second major series, which overlap with the first major series - the Barsetshire novels. These stories are concerned with politics, featuring the wealthy, industrious Plantagenet Palliser and his wonderfully impulsive and even richer wife Lady Glencora. These books bear all the hallmarks of Trollope's later works, blending dark cynicism with wit and a sharp awareness of human nature. The complete Palliser novels include: Can You Forgive Her? (1865) Phineas Finn (1869) The Eustace Diamonds (1873) Phineas Redux (1874) The Prime Minister (1876) The Duke's Children (1880)
