The vampire Michael Steadler is a womanizing, somewhat shallow man who spends his nights painting, hunting, hanging out in his favourite bar and little else. His maker, Simon Marsaille, pops up one night at the worst possible moment as is his trademark, to announce the arrival of the Inquisition, the finest hunters of supernatural creatures known to man. What first seems to be a dark but insubstantial threat to his quiet, egocentric life will most abruptly become a very real threat indeed to Michael. As the power struggle between the supernatural forces escalates involving werewolves, magicians and personal quests for revenge in the city of Brin, Michael is soon to realize that either he steps up to the plate or dies, and this time for good "Eat You Alive" is a modern interpretation of the classic vampire genre. There's blood, sex and violence aplenty but also a deep love for the characters, passion, love and betrayal. Mature content, reader discretion is advised.
