This new English-only edition of 'The Flowers of Evil' contains translations of the one hundred poems that were published in 1857 as the first edition of 'Les Fleurs du mal'. The translations are faithful to the original French poems in both content and versification, thus assuring the anglophone reader of an authentic appreciation of Baudelaire's unique vision.
