Six months after the conclusion of the climactic battle on New Kalorca, the group of the Sages, now lead by Cosmic, are left in a state of disarray as they attempt to coordinate their next move against their old foes and even new ones, as Blaze aligns himself with an even stronger ally. Without Zirecon, and left in a sorry state, the troubled yet focused Cosmic is confined to watch from afar, as are the rest of the Starshard family as they are left to observe their enemy, who oddly presides in the famous intergalactic event: the Grand Seralaxian Festival. How will they fare once a familiar but reborn foe takes his mechanical stand?
