"Six Crimson Cranes" is set in an East-Asian inspired world, where Elizabeth Lim unfolds her retelling of the Grimm brothers' fairtytale The Six Swans. The story is about Shiori'anma, the only princess of Kiata, with forbidden magic powers. When her evil stepmom Raikama realizes this, she turns Shiori's brothers into six enchanted cranes and put a deadly curse on Shiori. For each word Shiori speaks one of her brothers will die. Now Shiori must seek the dark world alone for help to seize the throne and break the curse.
